The 2019 KBCA preseason coaches rankings were released on Tuesday and there are several area teams ranked to open the season.
The TMP-Marian boys are ranked 10th in 3A after finishing fourth last season.
In class 2A the Hoxie boys start the season ranked fifth followed by sixth ranked Plainville and Ellis is ranked eighth.
The Osborne boys are the only area team ranked in 1A. They are ranked sixth.
The Trego girls are ranked fourth in class 2A to start the season.
In 1A Thunder Ridge is ranked sixth and Otis-Bison ninth.
