KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just after 11:15p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to the 5200 block of Winner Road in Kansas City, Missouri on a reported sound of shots, according to Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
While canvassing the area, officers located security personnel who advised a shooting had occurred and directed officers to a crime scene. While officers were on scene, dispatch advised a private vehicle had transported an adult male shooting victim to an area hospital. He was later pronounced deceased.
An additional adult male shooting victim arrived at a separate hospital in stable condition.
Preliminary investigations indicates an interaction between a group of individuals took place and escalated to gunfire. The number of people involved is currently unknown. Homicide detectives and crime scene personnel responded to the scene gather evidence and collect witness statements. This incident is being investigated as a homicide. Police have not released suspect information or the names of the victims.
