MARION COUNTY—A pilot avoided injured after a rough landing just before noon Friday in Marion County.
The Kansas HIghway Patrol reported the landing gear on a 1964 Beechcraft fixed wing, single engine aircraft piloted by Perry V. Proffitt, 69, Keller, Texas, failed.
The plane landed on its belly at the Hillsboro Municipal Airport.
Proffit was not injured. The NTSB will investigate.
