The Ellis County Health Department on Friday announced 57 new cases of COVID-19 had been identified in the county since Wednesday.

There are now 161 active cases, including three active hospitalizations, with 368 recovered cases.

Since reporting began, there have been 530 total cases of coronavirus in Ellis County, including one death.

The seven-day average of percent of positive tests fell from more than 18 percent Wednesday to 14.6 percent Friday.
