
SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas woman accused in a crash that killed a Kansas teen was in court for a pre-trial conference on Wednesday.
Trisha Greer, 43, Derby, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence before Judge Quentin Pittman, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
In June she plead not guilty to charge charges and was to face a jury trial last month.
Just after 11p.m. May 14, Greer was driving without headlights at 55th Street South and Hoover, according to Sheriff's Lt Nathan Gibbs. The vehicle struck and killed 18-year-old Bethany Aillen Callista Leggio who was standing with a group of people at the location.
Greer was booked into jail just after 1a.m. the following morning, according to online jail records. She met the requirements of bond and is no longer in custody. Senencing is scheduled for January 29, according to the district attorney's office.
