
JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a woman for alleged drug distribution.
Just after 3a.m. Sept. 25, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 Toyota Corolla near 110th and U.S. Highway 75, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
A Jackson County Sheriff’s K-9 indicated with a positive alert for the presence of illegal narcotics within the vehicle. Deputies arrested the passenger, Ashley Dawn Kuykendall, 37, of Topeka, on requested charges of felony distribution of a hallucinogenic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies also arrested the driver, Robert Jason Hobbs, 45, of Fairview, on an outstanding Brown County warrant for drugs.
