RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a violent robbery in Manhattan.
Just before 6p.m. Monday, officers filed a report for aggravated assault and aggravated robbery in the 700 block of Riley Lane in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
An 18-year-old man and a 14-year-old man reported that a 43-year-old suspect identified as Steven Renner of Manhattan threatened them with a crowbar and took a moped.
Police later arrested Renner on requested charges of aggravated assault, aggravated robbery and a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. Renner remains jailed on a bond of $50,250.
