OSAGE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas woman for alleged drug distribution.

Just after 4p.m. Monday, a sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on I-35 just north of U.S. 75 for a traffic violation, according to Sheriff Chris Wells.

During the stop, the deputy found illegal narcotics on the driver identified as Emajen C. Avery, 24, of Wichita.

Deputies took her into custody and transported her to the Osage County Jail Facility on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. The Osage County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Coffey County Sheriff's Office and Waverly Police Department.
