SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement are investigating an alleged school threat and have made an arrest.
On Thursday, a deputy-school resource officer with the Shawnee County sheriff’s office received information about a threat to a school. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that a student had made threatening comments regarding bringing a firearm to the school, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
The 15-year-old was arrested and booked into the Shawnee Co. Juvenile Detention Center on a requested charge of criminal threat. The sheriff's office did not release the name of the school involved.
