MCPHERSON COUNTY—State officials are investigating an incident involving a patient transfer from Osawatomie State Hospital that occurred in McPherson County.
"An individual being transported from our facility on September 18, was involved in an incident on a public highway that temporarily halted traffic, according to a statement from the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.
"The individual was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and has since been moved to another state facility." "We are cooperating with authorities and reviewing our transportation policies to ensure the safety of our patients and the public."
The state provided no further details due to privacy concerns.
