
SEDGWICK COUNTY—Authorities investigating a fatal head-on crash have identified the man who died as 32-year-old Nicholas Cox of Haysville, according to Sheriff's Lt. Benjamin Blick.
Just after 11a.m. Wednesday, a 2014 Chevy Cruze driven by Cox was eastbound at 7600 west MacArthur Road. The Chevy struck a westbound 2012 Ford F-150 driven by a 27-year-old man from Derby head-on.
Cox died at the scene, according to Blick. EMS transported the driver of the Ford F-150 to a local hospital with serious injuries
At the location of the collision MacArthur Road is a two lane paved road with center and edge line markings. The circumstances of the collision remain under investigation, according to Blick.
