
SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating the death of a 4-month-old boy and the safety and health of three other children at a home in Wichita, according to a statement from Wichita Police.
Just before 1p.m. Friday, Sedgwick County Emergency Communications received a report of a 4-month-old boy who was not breathing in the 1700 block of West Esthner Avenue.

Sedgwick County EMS and the Wichita Fire Department were dispatched to the scene, and upon arrival, they located the child. The boy was pronounced dead by EMS.
Wichita police investigators from the homicide unit and Exploited and Missing Children's unit responded to the scene to investigate the circumstances of the death. Officers discovered three other children, aged 4 and younger.
Both parents, identified in county booking records as 30-year-old Michael Manning and a 27-year-old Chrystal Manning have been arrested and booked into Sedgwick County Jail for four counts of Aggravated Endangerment of a Child and Child Abuse.
The three additional children were placed into police protective custody.
