KANSAS CITY —Authorities are investigating the cause of a house fire in Kansas City.
Just after 9a.m. Tuesday, crews responded to a reported house fire in the 600 block of Brighton Avenue, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
just before 9:00 a.m. Crews reported heavy fire and smoke from a two-story occupied residence on arrival. Interior operations were initiated using multiple handlines. Searches of the structure came back all clear. Occupants were able to self-evacuate. The fire was placed under control at 9:10 a.m. Red Cross was ordered for five adults and four children. No injuries were reported.
