KANSAS CITY, Mo. —Law enforcement investigating a weekend homicide in Kansas City, Missouri have identified the victim as 25-year-old Emmanuel Larrieux, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
Just after 9p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to the 3200 block of E 7th in Kansas City, Missouri on a reported disturbance and sound of shots.
Officers arrived to the area and located a man, later identified as Larrieux, lying in the driveway of a residence suffering from apparent gunshot trauma and unresponsive. Officers rendered medical aid until EMS responded and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates an argument ensued between multiple people that escalated into shots being fired. An adult male subject was taken into custody for further questioning.
Homicide detectives and crime scene personnel responded to the scene to begin gathering evidence and collecting witness statements. This incident is being investigated as a homicide.
