SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a fatal shooting in. Topeka have made an arrest.
Just after 7:30a.m. September 1, police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of NW Holman Street in Topeka, according to Police Lt. Ronnie Connell. First responders located 30-year-old Cody Bush of Topeka with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result of the investigation, police announced Monday they arrested 42-year-old Justin Shumway, 42, of Topeka. He is being held in the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Murder in the 1st Degree and Aggravated Robbery.
