WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department investigating a homicide near Bank of Labor in Kansas City have identified the man who died as 44-year-old as Tequan Davis of Kansas City, Kansas, according to a media release.
Just before 3:30p.m. September 4, police were dispatched to a shooting call in the 800 block of State Avenue. First responders located Davis in the parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The person of interest in this case has been questioned and is cooperating with law enforcement but no charges have been filed.
This incident remains under investigation by the KCKPD Major Case Unit.
