SALINE COUNTY — Law enforcement are investigating an AT&T employee in Salina in connection with an elaborate theft, fraud scheme.

On Feb. 20, AT&T corporate investigators contacted authorities in Salina regarding possible employee theft at the store, 2596 S. Ninth Street in Salina, according to Salina Police Captain James Feldman.

The investigation determined that 30-year-old Brandon L. Campbell, an employee, had allegedly engaged in fraudulent transactions between March 1, 2023, and Feb. 11, 2025.

According to Feldman, Campbell would purchase phones online, bring them to the store, and use another employee’s login credentials to manipulate trade-in values, inflating the amount higher than it should be. He would then allegedly take credit or cash for the price difference.

On Feb. 27, Campbell was taken into custody and booked into the Saline County Jail. He faces charges including one count of felony theft, 31 counts of making a false writing, and unlawful acts concerning computers.
