SHAWNEE COUNTY —Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Topeka.
Just after 7:30 a.m. Friday, police responded to a shooting in the 2700 Block of SW Burnett Road, according to Police Lt. Edward Stanley
First responders found three individuals who had life-threatening injuries. One was pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel, and the other two were taken to a local area hospital.
This is the city’s 1st homicide investigation of 2025. Police have not reported an arrest or the name of the victim who died.
