KANSAS CITY —The medical examiner has listed the manner of death of the victim found in a house fire in Kansas City on Saturday as homicide, according to Sheriff Daryl Forte'.
Just before 11:30p.m. Friday, crews responded to a reported house fire in the 5700 block of Bales in Kansas City, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins. First responders reported smoke and fire showing from the front of the home.
The fire was quickly brought under control. During the search of the home, crews discovered the body of a man. Kansas City police homicide detectives were notified and responded to investigate.
