Kansas woman with drugs in vehicle tried to flee traffic stop

OSAGE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug allegations.

Just before 3p.m. March 1, an Osage County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop at South Topeka Avenue and Center Street in Carbondale for a traffic violation, according to Sheriff Chris Wells.

During the stop, illegal narcotics were located. Tamrha K. Fields, 55, of Ozawkie was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail Facility on requested charges of Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Driving while suspended, Driving while a habitual violator, Flee or attempt to elude law enforcement and No liability insurance.
