
LYON COUNTY— A pilot and passenger avoided injury after an emergency plane landing just before 10a.m. Monday in Lyon County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1977 Grumman American fixed wing single-engine aircraft piloted by 41-year-old Joseph Ira Glover of Defuniak Springs, Flordia made the emergency landing when the propeller on the aircraft stoped working.
The plane came down in a corn field at 3951 N K-99 just southwest of the Road 400 intersection.
Glover and a passenger were not injured. The FAA and NTSB will investigate.
