JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man after a high-speed chase in a reported stolen car.
Just after 11p.m. April 4, sheriff's deputies were notified of the theft of a 2018 Nissan Sentra from the Casey’s General Store in Hiawatha, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
Approximately 25 minutes later Jackson County Deputies located the vehicle inside Jackson County where a pursuit ensued from Holton southbound.
The pursuit ended stopping near 150th Road where the driver identified as 42-year-old Jeffery Erwin Primeaux of Hutchinson, surrendered to deputies and was taken into custody.
Primeaux is being held on requested charges of felony flee and eluding law enforcement, according to Morse. Additional charges are also possible.
