
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a shooting that critically injured a woman have arrested the suspect.
On Monday afternoon, Wichita Police Department issued an attempting to locate for 28-year-old Jeremiah Cardenas of Wichita, in connection with shooting in Wichita. Police arrested him a short time later.

Just before 4a.m. Monday, police responded to a shooting call in the 1500 block of South Seneca, according to Officer Bradley Wright.
Once officers arrived, they found a 40-year-old Wichita woman with multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to a local hospital by EMS in critical but stable condition. Wright confirmed that the shooting did not happen at the location in the 1500 block of South Seneca. Investigators are working to identify the actual scene of the shooting.
Cardenas is being held on requested charges that include domestic battery, criminal damage to property, criminal threat, criminal possession of a weapon and aggravated battery.
