
ELLSWORTH COUNTY —A Kansas woman died in an accident just after 2p.m. Wednesday in Ellsworth County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Danielle Dee Hoskins, 40, Great Bend, was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of the Kansas 156 exit in the right lane. The driver attempted to cross the median at a crossover.
A westbound 2014 Volvo semi driven by Robert L. Mueller, 64, Murfreesboro, TN, in the left lane struck the drivers side of the Chrysler. Both vehicles came to rest in the median.
Hoskins was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Parson's Funeral Home.
EMS transported passengers in the Chrysler identified as Grace Dee Hoskins, 17, Great Bend, to Ellsworth County Medical Center and 13-year-old Shay Hoskins of Great Bend to Salina Regional Medical Center. Mueller was not injured. All four were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
