RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect in connection with the death of a dog and alleged abuse of another dog at a home in Ogden.
The Riley County Police Department received several calls over the summer about alleged negligence in the care of dogs at a home in the 3700 Block of Saddle Horn Trail, according to RCPD spokesman Josha Kinder. Last week police located a dog deceased outside the home.
Just before 4p.m. August 27, police executed a search warrant at the home and found another dog in the home malnourished.
As a result, police arrested 35-year-old Marquies Collins on requested charges for cruelty to animals. Collins met the requirement of a $1,000 bond and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
