SEDGWICK COUNTY —A toddler is recovering from a near drowning at a home in Wichita.
Just after 7p.m. Sunday, police and other first responders were dispatched to a drowning call at a residence in the 1400 block of S. Shiloh in Wichita, according to Wichita Police Captain Aaron Moses.
Police located a 2-year-old boy recovering from a potential drowning in the bathtub. The child may have suffered a medical emergency while taking a bath and was resuscitated by family in the home.
The child was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment, and, at this time, he is expected to survive, according to Moses.
