
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a bank robbery and searching for a suspect.
Just before 11:30a.m. Wedbesday, a suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank, 455 South West Street in Wichita, according to Police spokesperson Andrew Ford. The suspect, described as a white male between 50 and 60-years-old with long gray hair and a black and white beard, announced the robbery to a teller and demanded money.
The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled the business in an unknown direction. The suspect indicated he had a weapon, but one was not displayed. The suspect was wearing black sunglasses and a blue jean jacket. .
The Wichita Police crime lab is collecting evidence and the FBI is in charge of the investigation.
