STONE COUNTY, Mo. —Fire officials are investigating a boat explosion that critically injured a woman at Table Rock Lake.
Just after 9:30a.m. Saturday, a 74-year-old Springfield, Missouri woman had finished filling a 1989 Carver Santego 38 foot boat at the Indian Point Marina at Table Rock Lake, according to the Missouri State Patrol. When the woman started the boat it exploded.
The woman was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. A private vehicle transported an 18-year-old girl on the vessel to a local urgent care center.
The Missouri Fire Marshall’s Office is in charge of the investigation.
