New positive cases of COVID-19 are being reported in in northwest Kansas counties.
On Wednesday, Ellis County reported 10 new cases of coronavirus since Monday.
In Phillips County, another death associated with an outbreak at Logan Manor was reported Tuesday by the health department. A 75-year-old female died early Tuesday afternoon, the department reported. There are now 20 active cases — 40 overall — identified in Phillips County.
In Graham County, where a cluster of cases were identified after a dance, there have been nine cases and two hospitalizations.
Thomas County has seven active cases and 25 total, including two hospitalizations, since reporting began.
In Rooks County, two new cases were announced Wednesday, and an additional positive was also identified in Russell County. There are currently three active cases of the virus in Rush County, with two recovered.
Trego County announced Tuesday its third and fourth cases have recovered, bringing the number of active cases to zero.
Two northwest Kansas counties — Wallace and Rawlins — remain the only counties in Kansas without a reported case of COVID-19.
