Kansas man jailed for alleged attack with a butcher knife

BARTON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect for an alleged violent crime.

Just after 9p.m. Nov. 4, police were dispatched to a disturbance in the area of the 2400 Block of Dike Road, in Great Bend, according to a media release.

Officers found a male victim with a large cut on his forehead. The victim stated that he had been at the river near the North Main bridge when he got into an argument with Tiara Mills-Dotson, 30. The victim stated that during the argument, Mills-Dotson charged at him and struck him in the head with an unknown object.

While speaking with a witness, it was determined that the object used was a butcher knife, which was located and recovered at the scene. Mills-Dotson was transported and booked into the Barton County jail on requested charges of Aggravated Battery and for Aggravated Assault.
