DONIPHAN COUNTY—A Kansas teen was injured in an accident just after 11p.m. Monday in Doniphan County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Wathena Police were chasing a 2011 Nissan Altima driven by Justin L. Fountain Jr., 18, Olatha, westbound on U.S. 36 one mile east of Troy.
The driver lost control of the car on a curve and rolled. EMS transported Fountain to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment of serious injuries. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP. Police have not reported what prompted the chase.
