Homicide: More human remains found in rural Kansas

SUMNER COUNTY —The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office is currently working with the Sumner County Sheriff's Office to recover human remains in the area of 300 North River Road in Belle Plaine, Kansas.

The remains are in the same vicinity as those recovered on May 10, 358 N. River Road and are believed to be connected to an ongoing homicide investigation in Sedgwick County, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.

The victims of the homicide were last seen at a residence in the 9500 block South Hydraulic on January 1, 2024.

Investigators are working to confirm  the identities of the remains and notify families.
