
JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating suspect on drug charges after a traffic stop.
Just after 2a.m. Tuesday, a sheriff’s deputy stopped a Toyota Camry near U.S. Highway 75 and 112th Access in Jackson County, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
Following an investigation, the deputy arrested the driver, Chase Andrew Thompson, 28, of Lawrence on requested charges that include unlawfully obtaining a prescription drug, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and transporting an open container.
