
MANHATTAN, KAN. – A California man has been arrested in connection to a February 2020 shooting near Aggieville, according to a media release from the Riley County Police Department.
Just after 2:30a.m. Feb. 8, police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired in the 1100 block of Laramie Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they found an unoccupied car that had been shot and through further investigation discovered 30-year-old Travell Hairston had fired several rounds at a 27-year-old male victim.
Hairston of Sacramento, Calif., is already confined in the Riley County Jail for domestic battery and failure to appear and was arrested in connection with the shooting Thursday afternoon and is being held on requested charges of attempted first-degree murder.
He is being held on a $500,000 bond for the shooting arrest, resulting in a total bond of $1,115,000.
