KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just before 6p.m. Thursday, police o were dispatched to a shooting at a convenience store in the 1300 block of Bannister Road in Kansas City, Missouri, according to KCPD Sergeant Jake Becchina.
On arrival officers were directed to a shooting victim unresponsive on the ground next to the business. Officers rendered aid and called for EMS who responded and declared the man deceased at the scene. Homicide detectives responded to the scene and canvassed for any witnesses.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim had an interaction with an unknown suspect in the parking lot of the business that escalated to gunfire which struck the victim. Police did report the name of the victim or additional details.
