Search continues for Kansas man for stabbing at Dillons

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a stabbing at Dillons on June 1, continue to search for the suspect identified as 41-year-old Jason Bulger.

Just after 2:30p.m. June 1, police were dispatched to the Dillons store at 2010 SE 29th Street in Topeka in reference to a stabbing that had just occurred, according to Police Lt. Michael Hern.

EMS transported the male victim to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The possible suspect vehicle was located abandoned in the 2200 block of SW Edgewater Terrace, according to Hern.

On June 6, police arrested 37-year-old Amanda Bulger as part of the ongoing investigation, according to Lt. Donna Eubanks. She was arrested on a requested charge of theft and is no longer in custody, according to online jail records.

The Topeka Police Department is looking to speak with Jason Bulger in connection with the attack. Anyone with information on Bulger is asked to contact police.

He has previous convictions for aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, theft, driving while suspended and flee or attempt to elude police, according to the Kansas Dept. of Corrections.

The male victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The possible suspect vehicle was located abandoned in the 2200 block of SW Edgewater Terrace, according to Hern. An area search was conducted. Police have not reported an arrest.
