JACKSON COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 4p.m. Friday in Jackson County, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

A 1997 Lincoln Town Car driven by 90-year-old Eudora McQueen of Delia was westbound across northbound U.S. 75 just north of 21st Road after exiting a business. 

The driver failed to yield the right of way. A northbound 2012 Chevy Volt driven by Sammy W.&nbsp;Ramirez, 56, Holton struck the drivers side of the Lincoln.

EMS transported McQueen to Stormont Vail where she was pronounced deceased. Ramirez was transported to the hospital in Holton. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
