JOHNSON COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a fatal Kansas officer involved shooting have released the name of the suspect who died as 25-year-old Jose Enrique Cartagena Chacon of Grandview, Missouri.
Just after 3a.m. Sunday, police responded to report of a armed with a gun at an apartment complex in the 12400 block of W. 97th Terrace in Lenexa, according to a media release.
Shots were fired by at least one Lenexa officer and Chacon died. No officers were injured. The Johnson County Officer Involved Critical Incident Investigation Team is in charge of this investigation.
