Kan. woman caught driving with meth, children in car

JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas woman for alleged drug violation.

Just after 11:30a.m. Monday, a sheriff's deputy stopped a 2005 Dodge Magnum for a traffic violation near 126 road on U.S. 75, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

After an investigation, deputies arrested the driver Amber Lea Rachel Mason, 36, Topeka, on requested charges of meth possession, possession of hallucinogenic drugs, driving while suspended and aggravated child endangerment.

The sheriff's office did not release details on the children and where they were placed.
