BUTLER COUNTY—A Kansas man died in an accident just after 2p.m. Thursday in Butler County.
According to Undersheriff Daimon Cundiff, a 1998 Harley Davidson driven by 53-year-old Salvador J. Tovar Jr., of Augusta was northbound in the 4000 Block of SW Haverhill Road in El Dorado. The driver lost control of the motorcycle as it entered the curve just north of SW 50th Street and was ejected.
Tovar was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, according to Cundiff. High winds are believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
