KANSAS CITY — The Kansas City, Kansas Police offered a "Public Service Message" Wednesday evening on their social media page.

" Please, do not attempt to charge your electric or hybrid vehicles on Board of Public Utility poles. It simply doesn’t work, and it’s down right dangerous."

Instead, please take advantage of the many official vehicle charging stations throughout the city"

"The photo is real.  It was taken at about 2p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the interchange of Interstate 70 and Southbound 18th Street Expressway."

"Was the driver really trying to charge his car? Nope. He was actually experiencing car trouble and attempting to pull off the side of the road. How he made it up those wires so far; folks there are things even we cannot explain. We are very thankful nobody was injured."
