SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a homicide in Topeka.
Just after 3a.m. Saturday police responded to a reported shooting in the 2900 block of SE Freemont Road in Topeka, according to Police LT Donna Eubanks. First responders located one individual with life-threatening injuries who was pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel.
Topeka Police were later notified of two other individuals that had arrived at an area hospital. One individual had life-threatening injuries and one a non-life-threatening injury.
This is the city’s 3rd homicide investigation of 2025. Police released no additional details early Saturday.
