
KANSAS CITY —Police are investigating a double homicide in Kansas City.
Just before 1p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to report of a shooting at 12th and Belmont in Kansas City, Missouri , according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchins.
First responders were directed to a vehicle in the road there. Inside that vehicle officers located two male shooting victims unresponsive. Officers summoned EMS to the scene who declared the victims deceased.
The investigation indicates that the victims were inside the vehicle at the location when they had an interaction with one or more suspects and shots were fired. Both victims were inside the vehicle when they were struck by the gunfire. Initial responding officers took one subject of interest into custody for further investigation. Detectives are working to determine that subject of interest’s exact involvement at this time.
