
KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement investigating a weekend homicide in Kansas City, Missouri have released the name of the victim and reported an aarrest.
Just before 7am Saturday, police were dispatched to a house in the 5600 block of Agnes on a shooting call, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
First responders were directed inside to an adult female shooting victim identified as 38-year-old Nevada N. Mosley who was unresponsive. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived and took over treatment.
EMS transported her to the hospital where she was declared deceased.
Preliminary investigation indicates Mosley had an interaction with another person inside the residence that led to gunfire which struck her. The suspect then left the scene in an unknown direction. Detectives believe the victim and suspect are known to each other
A subject of interest was taken into custody Sunday morning and detectives will be working with prosecutors who will determine all applicable charges, according to Becchina.
