SEWARD COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a deadly shooting in Seward County.
Just after 3p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at a home on Denoon Road near Arkalon Road five miles east of Liberal, according to a media release.
First responders found three in the home including 52-year-old John Robert LaPoint, was dead from apparent gunshot wound. Deputies arrested a 25-year-old man without further incident.
Investigators are working to determine a motive. The case will be presented to the Seward County Attorney for charges. Authorities did not release the name of the suspect.
Seward County EMS, Seward County Rural Fire and the Liberal Police Department assisted at the scene.
