Police arrest Kan. woman for alleged murder of drug informant

RILCY COUNTY —Police have arrested a Junction City woman in connection with a 2017 murder in Southern Riley County.

Bobbie Jo Long, 44, of Junction City was arrested Friday on a Riley County District Court warrant charging her with Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder and Aggravated Kidnapping in connection with the 2017 death of drug informant Carrie Jones.

In 2018 Steven Meredith, 32, of Junction City was arrested in the same case. Meredith was eventually sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit murder.

Bobbie Jo Long is confined in the Riley County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
