The Ellis County Health Department on Monday reported the average number of new coronavirus cases per day in the last seven days remained even at six.
There were 14 new cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County since Friday. There are currently 50 active cases, including three active hospitalizations of Ellis County residents, and 3,427 recovered cases.
As of Monday, there were 12 COVID-19 inpatients at HaysMed, down from 16 on Friday, with four of those active patients and eight in the recovery phase.
The seven-day average of percent of positive tests again fell to 6.1 percent.
Since reporting began, there have been 3,477 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 61 coronavirus-related deaths.

"Total cases" reflects all cases reported by the department.
