Deputies find firearms, drugs at Kansas home

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man on multiple drug related charges following a narcotics and identity theft search warrant at a Kansas home.

Just after 10 a.m. Tuesday, sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at a residence in the 2500 block of SW Clay Street in Shawnee County, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

During the investigation, deputies found illegal narcotics, firearms and arrested 35-year-old Adam J. Smith of Topeka and booked him into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on charges of criminal use of weapons, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
