
BARTON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating three suspects on drug charges after executing a search warrant at a home in Great Bend.
Just after 3 p.m. November 19, deputies executed a search warrant at 205 Frey Street in Great Bend, according to Sheriff Brian Bellendir.
The search warrant was part of an investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl. At least one fentanyl overdose was reported in the county. Detectives believe this location was connected to the overdose case.
Deputies arrived at the scene, securing the residence without incident. During the course of the search, detectives located a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl as well as firearms and US currency.
The Sheriff’s Office arrested three suspects.

Raul Rivera, age 40 of Great Bend, was booked on requested charges of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a weapon. His bond is set at $100,000.

Julio Heredia, age 28 of Great Bend, was arrested and booked on requested charges of distribution of fentanyl and criminal possession of a firearm. Bond was also set at $100,000.

Miguel Garay, age 44 of Great Bend, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine as well as a Great Bend Municipal Court warrant. He is also being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
All three suspects remain incarcerated as of Monday morning.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Great Bend Police Dept., The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Sterling Police Department.
