
KANSAS CITY —Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson announced charges in a fatal shooting that took place earlier in Se
Alejandro Guillen-Molina, 28, faces 2nd Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action. He is also being held for U.S. Immigration, according to online jail records.
According to court records, Kansas City police responded to a grassy lot near East 14th Street and Askew Avenue on Sept. 16 regarding a shooting and located the victim with apparent trauma. He was later pronounced deceased on the scene.
Based on witness reports, the defendant was engaged in an argument with the victim and then allegedly fired multiple shots at the victim.
The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges the very next day.
A Jackson County judge set the defendant’s bond to $200,000 cash only.
